Food is good but kept saying the time is up

Kazu has been a sumiyaki institution for more than a decade in Singapore. Charcoal grill at its best. I’ve been coming year for almost 10 years and I’ve never had a bad meal here.Recommended to get a reservation as this place gets packed every night. Weekly specials are ever changing depending on seasonal produce coming from Japan.Be sure to order their signature grill sweet potato the moment you sit down as this item take about 30-45 mins slow grill in charcoal.Plenty of yakitori and other stick grilled items, and fishes available on the menu.This place doesn’t come cheap but isn’t very expensive either. Good selection of curated sake and interesting Japanese whiskeys on offer.

Super cosy slow paced yakitori sumiyaki place, ideal to meet up with Friend chill over warm sake while waiting for ur food, as each yaki mono are prepared as per ur order and grilled by the Chef and owner, the ventilation well designed so u don’t get any greasy after leaving.Ingredient really fresh and authentic taste from Japan, highly recommend the handmade chicken bar, grilled mocha with their homemade miso. Their miso so refreshing! We order the chilled cabbage with the miso, yum!! Will definitely be back to this lovely place, the food, the crowd and their staff make this place such a memorable one. Five stars worthy, u need to reserve and don’t go if u are Super hungry.

I must say Kazu has the best chicken hearts and cold noodle in town. Staff were super friendly, polite and helpful. The varieties of sake satisfy the sake lovers. Must try their mochi. Highly recommend!

love love love this place so much! this is the restaurant that i absolutely have to go whenever i was in singapore. really good yakitori place. my absolute favourite menu of this place is the slow baked sweet potato. you need to order this before anything else because it takes them 45-50 minutes to prepare this. also excellent service!

For a Yakitori restaurant to leave a lasting impression in Singapore isn’t easy as your honestly spoilt for choice, but Kazu manages it with style. The starters we tried of crispy shrimps were a great accompaniment with beer. The oysters were fresh and the yuzu sauce gave them a nice tangy crisp taste. The octopus had a light crispy texture rather than the usual chewy consistency they can be at times.The meat selection is varied and the cuts are of good quality. The chicken heart and liver skewers were soft and tasty and the chicken balls had enough flavour to keep each bite interesting. But the best dishes were definitely the red meats of lamb and beef, they cooked our medium rare dishes to perfection. With lots of buttery oil and juices bursting out with each bite. And to wash all the flavour down is a great selection of sake to keep your palate savouring the next bite. Will definitely be back when I feel the urge to indulge.

Well executed Japanese yakitori and Izakaya dishes. My favorite was the bonito sashimi platter, uni tofu and monkfish liver!

Located on the 4th floor of Cuppage, cosy and intimate. The counter seats give you a nice view of the grill and the chef.The yakitori is flavourful, the charcoal taste is present but not over powering. That's probably the most unique aspect.Dessert is good

Please try their tomato. I know it's a little mad spending $10 for just one tomato but it's really worth it. It's really sweet and very little seeds. Almost everything else is delicious esp their grilled items. They are grilled to perfection with lovely smokey flavour.

One of the nicer Yakitori places in Singapore serving yummy yum yum sticks and sticks of excellent food!!!! The taste are good, texture just nice and prices just right. There are a lot of offerings, including some rather exotic variety as well. Recommended to try these out as you’d be surprised how nice and delicious these are. Issue is that this place is in Cuppage Plaza with all its sleazy pubs and bars and lounges. You’ll also share the toilet with these!Recommended but be careful of the pubs, bars and lounges.

It was my first visit but I was very impressed by the food, especially the miso hokkaido pork.

Has to be one of the best yakitori joint in Singapore. The service staffs are great and very experienced, especially Linda and Betty. They know exactly what to recommend and are never pushy. The food is great and consistent. I have been coming back regularly every month since I chanced upon this place. Highly recommend, but its quite difficult to get a table.

One of the hidden gem in Cuppage Plaza, a sleazy place which will deter many. However, once you go past all those seedy joints, and ignore the distractions, you will discover this lovely place. The yakimono are fantastic. The selections are wide and even for those who don't like chicken, the options are there to choose among the seafood, fishes and vegetables. Many of which are airflown from Japan and you get to choose the freshest from the menu. Alternative, asked the servers who are very experienced. Some of whom have worked for for many years.

One of the better izakaya and yakitori bar. We tried wide variety of yakitori and most were well grilled and juicy. This restaurant continue to innovate with well executed dishes and desserts. The server can recommend their best dishes according to your budget. Hence, be open to let them know your preference.

Cosy and lovely to sit at counter enjoy the live show. The food is very very good. Service are like 1 staff to 4 customers. So that a very good ratio. Natural taste with charcoal and salts enhancing it. Just so good. Quality is worth the dining. Reservations need to be made weeks ahead. Overall I love the bar n cold sake. Feeling contented n satisfied.
